2014 Reunion News:

In the last 50 years since high school, I have worked for and worked as the following:

In my "other life" (as I call it), I worked as a dental hygienist for 10 years (1968-1978).

In the meantime-in 1972-Dennis and I started our business, Wheel Sport Bicycle and Canoe Shop, in Spokane, WA.

After selling our business in '86, I worked a short time for Cycles Composite (Kestrel bicycles).

Through the years I've traveled to a variety of countries with friends-taking my dear mother when possible.

Participating in the lives of our nieces and nephew has also been fun. This May took me to Germany for the baptism of our new, little grandnephew.

I don't feel retired as I'm always doing something-working on a project, volunteering or keeping up with Dennis! Being self-employed the majority of our lives, things just keep going. Life is good and we feel blessed, but sometimes I look forward to just reading and relaxing.

Plans or goals for the next 10 years: Keep my baggage light, have fun, enjoy friends and family and unseat Tom Foley!
Major highlights of the last 10 years: Having wonderful friends, taking my mother to Sweden and discovering family we didn't even know existed.

20 Year Reunion 1984

Occupation: Dental Hygienist-'Retired', now self employed
Spouse's Occupation: Self employed-/together we own and operate a large bicycle, canoe and Nordic Skiing shop. "Wheel Sport Bicycle and Canoe Shop."
The last 10 years have gone in a flash! I'm too busy most of the time; can't relate to "free time" but have had fun building and operating a business. I was a practicing dental hygienist for 10 years, then dropped out of that profession to help run our wild and crazy bicycle and canoe shop.

After attending UofI for 2 years, I transferred to University of Oregon Dental School, graduated in 1968. Dennis LeKander and I were married in July of 1968. Since that time we have lived in Kalispell MT, Colville WA, Chewelah WA and now Spokane. If anyone is in Spokane for Expo, please come by and visit.
