Donna Markay Phillips passed away peacefully Friday, Sept. 1, 2017, after a six-month battle with lung cancer that spread to her brain. She was born Oct. 11, 1945, in Boise. She was 71 years young. Donna was raised by Gilbert and Viva Williams.

Mom worked as a retail checker most of her life for Safeway and Rosauers. She also was an owner and operator of The Feedbarn, where the new roundabout is being constructed at Powers and Thain roads, and before that across the street from A & B Foods on Thain Road.

She is survived by two sons, Walter "Brick" Phillips and his wife, Kellie, and John Phillips, both of Lewiston; three grandsons, Garett, Wyatt and Bryce Phillips of Lewiston; sister Enid Heintz and her husband, Duane, of Rathdrum, Idaho; uncle Bob Williams of Clarkston; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who loved her dearly. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Vassar- Rawls Funeral Home, 920 21st Ave., Lewiston. Rev. Randy Cordle of Plummer, Idaho, will officiate. Honorary pallbearers will be John Phillips, Walter "Brick" Phillips, Duane Heintz, Garett Phillips, Wyatt Phillips and Bryce Phillips. There will be coffee and cookies after the service.

Mom would have liked to say thank you to all her friends who she had over the years that gave her support. Thank you all and God bless.

Major highlights of the last 10 years: The Feed Barn (local business) owner of Krotch Top Inc, and innovative transformation of men's fashion briefs into halter top for women. Member of Chamber of Commerce, real estate ventures.
Other News: Single and frisky, adventurous. Life is not dull, looking forward to seeing our classmates.

After aiding my husband through college we moved to Yacolt WA where he was employed as a personal mgr for a logging firm. Now we are back in Lewiston and John is at Potlatch Corp in the same position. I am not working, just keeping up the home. (Bored!)
