James M. Walker Jr., 49, resident of Lewiston

The funeral for James M. Walker Jr. of Lewiston, a former employee of Continental Grain at Lewiston, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Malcom's Brower-Wann Memorial Chapel at Lewiston. Visitation will be from noon to 7 p.m. today at the chapel. Burial will be at Lewis-Clark Memorial Gardens at Lewiston.

Walker, 49, died Monday of a heart attack at his home. He was born Aug. 19, 1946, at Pendleton, Ore., to James Fredrick and Emma Frances Hinson Walker.

The family moved often, following his father's career, and Walker attended schools all over the Northwest. He attended junior high school at Lewiston and graduated from Lewiston High School in 1964.

He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1965 to 1969. He returned to Lewiston and worked for the Idaho Department of Fish and Game for two years. Then he managed the Tiki Club, a nightclub east of Lewiston, for eight years and worked for Security Furniture at Lewiston for a couple years.

He worked for Continental Grain until last fall. He had a companion, Betty J. Scott of Lewiston. He is survived by his mother, Emma F. Walker of Lewiston. He enjoyed panning for gold, camping, fishing and target shooting.
