2014 Reunion News:

In the last 50 years since high school, I have worked for and worked as the following:

I taught school for 36 years in Forks and one year in Oak Harbor. I retired from full time teaching in 2002, but I subbed regularly for the following 6 years.

I did retire in 2002 and now keep busy doing volunteer work at the local clothing bank, work for Friends of Forks Animals as the spay/neuter facilitator, musician at my church and playing for various civic events, city council member, attending plays in Seattle, and traveling here and there including Spain, Italy, England, Mexico, Wales, Ireland, Hawaii, and in May Taos and Santa Fe.

2004 Reunion News:

Past highlights: Retirement; Trips to Hawaii and Japan and Spain. Swimming with the sea turtles, spinner dolphins and manta rays.

Future Plans: More travel, more fun, more time to work on house and yard.

Hobbies and other interests: Music, pinochle, garden, renovating.
Plans or goals for the next 10 years: Survive to retire and then travel, tentatively plan to supplement my income by being part time "post office lady".
Major highlights of the last 10 years: Children graduating high school and college; visit Linda Strong in New York and tour of East Coast; lots of WEA travel and work; state level committees on restructuring and math.
Other News: Learning to work a computer at last and actually enjoying it! I am still mad I missed the 20th! I am enjoying 12 years of good relationship with a male who keeps me in firewood, my freezer full of venison and lets me drag him almost anywhere. Hopefully, we will keep it together forever.

20 Year Reunion 1984

Still in Forks, still teaching. Been divorced for 9 years and have enjoyed most of it. Big plans to go to Disneyland this summer. I still keep a finger in music-play for weddings, etc. Have chaired our town's summer festival, Forks Old Fashioned 4th of July, and had sub-chairmanships for 8 years. I also accompany the community chorus. Needless to say, boredom has not been a problem!

Attended LCSC for 2 years, transferred to West Wash State College, graduated in 1968, taught 1 year of 4th grade in Oak Harbor, married Gary during that year, moved to Richland, Bellingham, and worked in Real Estate 2 years, have taught 5th grade in Forks for 2 years now. Will finish Standard WAS Certificate this summer at WWSC.
