2014 Reunion News:

I have one daughter, Liesl Peterson Erb, Ph.D., Evolutionary Biology and Ecology, University of Colorado, Boulder, who is teaching biology at Colorado College, Colorado Springs, Colorado. She is married to Peter Erb, also a biologist.

After graduation from LHS, I attended the University of Idaho on an NROTC scholarship. I graduated from the university in 1969 with a B.S. (majors in accounting and economics) and immediately -- graduation was in the morning, swearing in in the afternoon -- entered the U.S. Navy as an ensign (the Vietnam war being fairly hot at the time, as you will recall). During my naval career I served aboard USS Parsons (DD-949) as a midshipman with LHS classmate Jim Runsvold; Naval Air Station Corpus Christi, Texas; Naval Amphibious Base, Coronado, California; USS Independence (CVA-62) in the Mediterranean; Navy Sup ply Corps School, Athens, Georgia (student); USS Vernon County (LST-1161), homeported in Yokosuka, Japan; Navy Supply Corps School, Athens, Georgia (instructor); and USS Camden, (AOE-2), homeported in Bremerton, Washington. I left the Navy as a lieutenant in 1976 and attended law school at the University of Idaho on the G.I. Bill. I graduated and passed the Idaho bar exam in 1979, and joined the law firm I am still with today in Nampa, Idaho, currently known as White, Peterson, Gigray, Rossman and Nichols, P.A. I have been practicing for about 35 years, primarily in taxation, estate planning, probate, business and real estate law.

2009 Reunion News:

Past highlights: I am an attorney in a nine-lawyer firm, White Peterson, Nampa, Idaho; and I specialize in estate planning and tax law; I have been with the firm 30 years. My wife, Pam, a 1964 graduate of Nampa High School and the University of Rochester, New York, is an RN and the school nurse for Skyview High School in Nampa. My daughter, a 2004 honors graduate from Colorado College in biology with a minor in French, is a third-year graduate student in a Ph.D. program in evolutionary biology and ecology at the University of Colorado, Boulder; she is an expert in high-altitude alpine ecology. Over the last 15 years I have visited, hiked, bicycled, run and drunk fair amounts of wine in France, Chile, Argentina, Canada and most of the Western United States; I have cooked and gardened at home; I have watched my daughter grow from a 12-year-old grade schooler, to an oboe player, to a high school volleyball and fast-pitch softball player, to a high school valedictorian, to a National Merit Scholar, to a college student, to a college graduate, to a field research scientist with the Smithsonnian Institution studying mammals in the jungle of Borneo, to a graduate student and, most recently, a bride; I have climbed a couple of Idaho's 12,000+ foot peaks, Hyndman and Borah; and I have run the annual Race to Robie Creek half-marathon over Aldape Summit 11 times. I am a Kiwanian and currently on the board of directors of the Boise Philharmonic Association, Inc. I have enjoyed life, which, I admit, has been good to me.

Future Plans: Continue with the above.
