2014 Reunion News:

In the last 50 years since high school, I have worked for and worked as the following:

Lived in France as a missionary for 2.5 years, attended and graduated from Washington State University, went to work for Payless Drug Stores stayed 33 years and ended my career there as CEO/Chairman. Then bought into a drug chain in the midwest served as CEO/Chairman. After leaving here bought a drug chain in the Southwest and served as CEO/Chairman. Sold that company and began serving on Boards of Directors. I have served on the Board of Directors of Sports Authority, NuMedics, GeNosys Inc., Goulter Medical. Most recently retired from serving as Chairman of United Natural Foods (UNFI a Nasdaq listed public company). I still serve on the Board of Directors of American Consulting and Technology Research Inc. I started and Chair Barker Enterprises, an investment company.

Not with standing the fact that I still work (to some extent) my wife, of 45 years, and I are serving a full time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon) in the Dominican Republic. When we are finished with that we will move from Portland, Oregon (where we have lived for several years) to Bend, Oregon where we have had a second home for 25 plus years.

Update Aug 15, 2009

Currently serving on the Board of Directors of two public companies, United Natural Foods, and The Sports Authority, and 4 private companies. I am also the principal of Barker Enterprises, LLC . Other than that I am retired from regular employment.

Still doing a lot of charity work with the LDS Church and the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation International (past Chair of that organization).

Doing all the traveling that time will allow and very much enjoy doing that.
