2009 Reunion News: Finally retired!!! 2004 Reunion News: Past highlights: Still employed at the same job-20 yrs. Shelly's high school graduation in 1999, the family staying healthy, last but not least my hole in one in golf last year. Future Plans: Hopefully retire at age 62, stay healthy, and buy a house with a smaller yard. 30 Year Reunion 1994 Spouse's Name: Marjorie (Marge)Current residence: Newberg, OR Occupation: Machinist. Have been working the last 10 years at Coe Mfg. Co. making sawmill and plywood machinery. Family: Shelly Marie, 13. Number of grandchildren: 0 Places lived in the last 10 years: Newberg, OR Hobbies and other interests: Trying to learn how to play golf, working around house, relaxing with the family, and bicycling if I can find the time. Plans or goals for the next 10 years: Plan for the next ten years and hopefully retire early. Build a small retirement home and stay healthy. Major highlights of the last 10 years: The major highlight was building my own home. We sold our home in town and bought 2.5 acres and with a lot of help from my dad, we started building. I still need to finish the basement, but it was well worth all the work. I entered the Air Force June 9, 1964. Spent 2 years in Southern Idaho, 4 months in Dominican Republic, 1 year in Viet Nam. I lived in Yakima 1 year while attending trade school and then moved to Portland. Married Marjorie McNeil from Everett WA in Nov 1976. My daughter Shelley was born April 16 1981. 2014 Reunion News: After high school, I spent three and a half years in the Air Force, stationed in southern Idaho, Dominican Republic, and Vietnam. I lived in Yakima a couple years attending trade school. I moved to Portland and worked as a machinist for 39 years at several shops in the Portland area. I retired in 2008 and did some remodeling on our house in Newberg, OR. We sold it in October 2012 and were in the process of buying a home in Washougal, WA, when I had heart surgery. The doctors at Portland VA hospital found a tumor inside my heart the size of an egg. I had surgery the same day they discovered it. I spent only five and one-half days in the hospital. Luckily, the tumor was benign. We moved into our new home 26 days after my surgery. First time I ever had to hire movers. Four months later, I was playing golf again. Now I keep busy golfing and working around the house. We also babysit our very active grandson. He'll be three in September.
