Wednesday, December 5, 2012, Lewiston Morning Tribune Online Edward A. Steiger Edward A. Steiger was born Jan. 10, 1945, at Winchester. Our beloved brother and friend went to his Lord and Savior Nov. 29, 2012, at Tri-State Memorial Hospital in Clarkston. He was the youngest child of nine born to Frank Sr. and Fredonia (Schreiner) Steiger. He moved to Lewiston in 1948. He attended school at Orchards Elementary, Sacajawea Junior High School and Lewiston High School. While he was in high school, he worked at Tierney's IGA (Foodliner) for about 15 years. He made many friends while there. He then went to Potlatch Corp. for 25 years until his retirement. His favorite things to do were four-wheeling, camping, hunting and traveling. He had visited 49 states. He had traveled abroad to Rome, the Holy Land with his mother which he enjoyed thoroughly, Russia with his best friend, Mike Eller, and Europe with his mother. He is survived by his brothers, Al Steiger (Gloria), Frank Steiger Jr. (Dixie), and Don Steiger (Margaret); sisters, Christina Rugg, Elsie Wright and Evelyn (Lanny) Gill; best friend, Mike Eller; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Clarence Steiger, and a sister, Marie Ray. At Ed's request there will be no memorial service. (Webguy note: Ed was not in the original website. If anyone has anything to add to his page, please let me know. A school age photo would be appropriate. I cannot find him in any information I have available following our sophomore year.) |
