Idaho State Journal (Pocatello, Idaho) Monday June 15, 1964, page 12 2 Cars Plunge Into Stream; River Toll Rises LEWISTON, Idaho (AP) At least one person is missing and presumed drowned as the result of accidents in which cars plunged into the Clearwater River during the weekend. Nez Perce County sheriff's deputies said Kenneth Heintz, 20, of Clarkston, Wash., was presumed drowned in the Clearwater when the car he was driving left a bridge at Spalding, 11 miles east of Lewiston. Mickey Wolf of Myrtle, Idaho the car's owner, escaped from the vehicle and was swept ashore 50 yards downstream. She was treated for shock and cuts at a local hospital.
