February 8, 1996, Lewiston Morning Tribune Bernadette Bjustrom, 49, manager and receptionist Bernadette Bjustrom of Lewiston, 49, an office manager and receptionist, died Monday of a ruptured aneurysm at St,. Joseph Regional Medical Center at Lewiston. She was born Sept. 20, 1946, at Kellogg, Idaho, to Fred V. and Frances El Plum Bjustrom. They moved to Moscow in q950 and Lewiston in 1959. She was at Sacajawea Junior High School and designed the school's original logo. She graduated from Lewiston High School in 1964 and attended Lewis-Clark State College at Lewiston in 1964 and 1965. She married Charles Marin Brunzell April 17, 1965, at Lewiston and began working for the Diamond Shop at Lewiston. From 1967 to 1971 she was the office manager for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers at Washington, DC. She returned to Lewiston in 1971 and was a receptionist at First Federal Savings and Loan at Lewiston. She lived in Walla Walla from 1975 to 1980, then returned to Lewiston and was project manager for Idaho Building and Construction. From 1981 to 1989 she lived at Clovis, CA and was the office manager for the Fresno County Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. She was divorced in 1985 and returned to Lewiston in 1989. She enjoyed drawing and painting with charcoal, pencil and oils. Survivors include her parents of Lewiston, one son, Fred Daniel Brunzell fo Clovis, two daughters, Bonnie M. Brunzell and Cicily N. Brunzell both of Seattle; three sisters, Mary E. Bjustrom and Tani Rae Standridge, both of Seattle, and Rebecca C. Bjustrom of Sylvan Lake, Alberta, Canada; and one brother Fred Reynolds Bjustrom of Clarkston. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Orchards United Methodist Church with the Rev. John Hunsberger officiating. Burial will follow at Normal Hill Cemetery at Lewiston. Vassar-Rawls Funeral Home at Lewiston is making the arrangements. Memorials may be made to Orchards United Methodist Church, 1213 Burrell Ave, Lewiston. |

After being involved in the race riots and general hassle of DC, decided to move back to the west where my husband finished college. Last year we bought our first home and are settling in as permanent residents. |
